for the love of it all...

...a simple task turned heinous: shopping online. there are now two occasions when i have somehow over-purchased dolls in just the past month. the first was a simple ebay problem: bidding on 2 of the same, then winning them both! i mean, i never win anything. i never thought i would get even one, let alone both. then, walking through the neighborhood thrift shop, i find another doll (only much cheaper). so, adeline, i hope you are pleased with your christmas gift http://lalaloopsyland.wikia.com/wiki/Crumbs_Sugar_Cookie...because now i have to find a way to sell one of them.

& then this morning, we have the american girl fiasco. so, big sale happened for all of 1 hour. my mom & i got together to place an order & somehow it appeared to have canceled my first order, causing me to reorder the same...only to have *two* order confirmation emails arrive a few minutes later. panic sets in very quickly when dealing with $600 worth of dolls! yes, $600. i thought i was going to fall out of my chair...thankfully, i was still on the phone with my mom & she laughed me through it. very quickly, i let others know of my situation & very kind facebook friends volunteered to buy the dolls off of me when they arrive. credit & marital disaster averted.

then as i was playing freecell on my fake lunch break, i somehow stabbed the inside of my nostril with my straw. serious pain ensued.

now, you see why i haven't posted in awhile. computers & i just don't get along.

i think i promised pictures at the end of my last post, right? so, here are a few/alot:

this is just to let you see how grown up addy looks anymore. & yes, those boots were made to walk anywhere & be worn with anything. absolute fashion, as addy might say.

amelia in her usual outfit: footed pj's. hat optional. looking ornery, always.

halloween! addy was the crumb sugar cookie lalaloopsy & amelia tinkerbell (there's only so much she would let me do as far as make up went & tights. she insisted on wearing pink tights & turtleneck...which all that is totally fine because she fell in a puddle after house #2 anyway & then went home with me to pass out candy)

adeline's first school report! she was to pick a different country & write up a bit about it to share with her class for their international day at school. she picked jamaica because we are going there on a vacation this year!! whoot-whoot! (it will be a family cruise with wes' parents, brother & sister in law & us...hello to watered luxury!)

& here we are at thanksgiving...wrestling with paw-paw bruce. doesn't amelia looked a bit scary?

thanksgiving dinner was so scrumptious. it was after a surprise trip to cleveland to visit my dad at the "hopple hopple" (to use addy's 4 year old word for hospital). my dad went to the local ashland hospital ER, then was taken to the cleveland clinic...gall bladder stones, possible surgery, my mom still in recovery from her last chemo treatment...gah! i am really hoping, praying, wishing that my family gets an illness/hospital break this christmas. anyway, this picture is from that yummy dinner & shows the ability to relax for a few days here for mi familia!

so addy has been on this dairy free (& gluten free & tree nut free) diet, right? the dairy free has been half- assed by wes & i the past year. so then our newer ped suggested we go totally df...& ugh has that been hard! not just on us finding adequate df products, but also on addy learning to say no to so many things her friends & family are eating...leading to many meltdowns! hhmm..anyway, so i found this df whipped cream & thought it a wise investment for this holiday trip.

just one of amelia's uber cute pictures for her passport

df, gf, low sugar pop tarts!

so after many very painful gall bladder attacks (passing of gall stones) my dad brought his chicken soup to hang out with us on our cooking baking day. my poor dad, he had just had an attack the day before & still, he was here. obviously, his little ones love him & his book reading abilities. (fyi: he will be having probably the non-laparoscopic (how is that spelled?!) gall bladder removal surgery soon: keep him in your prayers!)

my great grandma's step-back cupboard...showing off cookies & treats again.

my mom & dad gave their grand-girlies last year's christmas ornament (i think that was forgotten in the muck of last year's cancer diagnosis hell)

i think amelia was listening to an owl knock-knock joke here...

2012 school pictures!

once millie knew i would trim the picture to put into a frame, she quickly took hers from the package, ran secretively to the paper cutter & trimmed her own picture...she struggled a bit with keeping it straight, but at least she didn't cut herself, eh?

while attempting to type this today, i have been harrassed by my children & am now being pressured by one child to leave the house to go play with someone at the rec center (adeline). then begged by the other to just let her stay in her pajamies & put together another puzzle! (millie)... & all i'm thinking is that i would love to have a few minutes to read...or call to get a hair cut lined up for next week. or change the laundry over. or get dinner started. or finish up on shutterfly. or do some stretching. or return the bundle of library books we have & are currently being charged for on overdue notices...

in other news, i'm off to see a dietician tomorrow to help with my litany of medical "issues"...we have a $2k bill that the insurance is refusing to help with, plus a few other bills in the hundreds. UGH. when does this end? i have to keep reminding myself that we will not always have this problem, medical bills & medical unknowns.

anyway, my kids are starting to go a bit nutso right now, so i must jet...
