aahhh

so i just had 5 days off of from being a mom (well, really, are parents ever 'off duty'?). wes took the girls to stay with their grandparents from wednesday to today. then, wes took a flight to idaho for some work meetings (oh how i wish i could have gone with him! if only the ticket prices weren't so high...) the same day, leaving me alone here. at home, alone. ALL BY MYSELF! not even a dog to look after.

yep, i slept in until 11:15 on thursday. i watched TWO movies back to back wednesday night. i went shopping with my sister for nearly 4 hours. i ate out! then...i went with 6 other friends to a cottage in hocking hills (for those non-ohioans: southern ohio. for those idahoans: something like the very small foothills). we did some wii games, hiking, chatting, reading, lots of super yummy eating, drinking of wine (& water), & some slightly inappropriate comments from me about if we did get lost, wandering around for days (not likely, as that area is still populated) that lucky for us, we had some lactating moms with us who could keep up alive. think: the grapes of wrath.

anyway, it was a lot of relaxing (minus my migraine & another lady sleeping on the floor & then having some intense back pain in the morning) & it must be done again soon. maybe a quarterly event?!

but the girls & wes come home later today & i am looking forward to seeing their beautiful faces.

until then, i think i may take a nap...
