recently addy has been putting on these shows for me, puppet shows, dance & sing shows, comedy (knock-knock jokes gone awry, mostly). today she told amelia & wes that they should put together a show for me today, so my headache will go away.
instantly, tears stung my eyes....so she's been doing all of these shows to help me feel better, physically? *sigh*
then she follows her idea up with this joke: i'm going to start calling you the headache mommy!
i had to leave the room quickly so she didn't see my tears. i know i have lots of headaches & muscle pain & i tell them in the plainest & least impacting way possible that i need a rest, that i have a headache or my neck & head hurts. this month has been horrible for my pain level; not sure why. but i really don't want the title of headache mommy. right?!
on a lighter note, the girls now call my essential oils, the mommy medicine *smile* so true. the good part is that these oils are helping ease pain...bad part is that they are pricey. combine that pricey with all my other meds & whammo to the wallet.

anyway. tonight is a clothing exchange that i'm putting on...i think mostly it's going to be a drink wes' mulled cider-wine party, with clothes being swapped on the side. so i really should take a shower & vacuum now, as wes has the girls out for a few hours.
but first i must shout it from the rooftops: amelia has been dry at night for over a week now. she's even worn underwear to bed without the smallest of accidents. really, are we out of the pull-ups & diaper stage?! if so, love it, love it, love it.

yesterday, the girls were begging for some of their halloween candy. when i would go upstairs, they would quietly try to steal some (the candy was in a bag hanging from the pots & pans rack--nearly impossible for them to get, although i think addy was successful several times). so i decided to just give in to the candy pulling at their hearts: i dumped both bags of candy onto the floor, put griswold outside & told them they could eat as much candy as their bellies desired.
their eyes popped out of their heads & their bodies lunged towards the piles of candy. i sat & played with my new phone (finally, after 9 months of thinking about getting my new 2-year phone upgrade, i did it: android enlighten. love it!)
addy ate about 4 pieces & with a glazed look on her face told me she couldn't eat any more candy.
amelia ate almost all of hers. seriously. she walked around the house in a daze, rubbing her belly & burping...but still, even then, she would go to her candy & eat more.
of course, i helped them...who could resist?! plus i forced enough water down them that i think they were peeing sugar after an hour.but today we have significantly less candy in the house--a good thing--& i haven't heard a plea for candy yet! sometimes it works to give into it? hhmmm???

last week i did not want to do any laundry, so...i didn't! after wearing a variation of the same outfit for 4 days straight, i decided it was time...remember we have an awesome washer & dryer. i'm not trying to brag, but there our decision to buy these appliances have paid off. i totally shove them brimming full & we use half the water & detergent, half the drying time. anyway. i did 7 enormous loads of laundry over a few days. i guess my point is that i hate doing laundry?
& now they are home from the grocery store, so really, i super must get my butt moving.
