my portland trip!

if you are a regular here, you may be wondering where the hell i am lately. (grumpy, mmhhm?). well! i was able to tag along with big W (wes!) on a work trip to portland, oregon. 

yea!!!!

so the girls were dropped off at wes' parents for their own grandparent vacation time & off we went out west, finally for me. it's my first visit to the northwest since we moved back to ohio. i sat in the window seat of the plane flying from chicago to portland just so i could watch the snow capped mountains go by, missing them. & i went with wes also because a dear friend moved to portland last summer & i also have family there. enough reasons, eh?

it was around midnight ohio time when we arrived in portland. i didn't care, wes did. *smile* we went out for some amazing gluten free pizza (yea, gf is everywhere in portland! yippee for me! i haven't eaten so well in awhile). hindsight says wes probably should've just gone to sleep before--he didn't feel well nearly the entire visit (then upchucked on the flight into cleveland! egads, yes?). anyway, here are some pictures.
