blah!

this week marks addy's 2nd round of croup in just a month. it's such a frustrating illness. for her it's more like a condition, not an illness. it can linger for a week or just a day...always with this low fever (b/c her body is fighting off the infection, not b/c she's contagious. some kids get ear infections from a cold virus--amelia!--but adeline seems to go from a cold to croup). during the day, her emotions are the biggest problem. it's like she's a teenager, ranging from pure joy to rage/tantrums in mere minutes. *sigh*

yep, here's my "sick" kid. home from school & dancing around being a princess. see why croup is so frustrating!?!

they have taken to putting stickers on their foreheads. not sure if i should explain that it may be seen as a mockery by some (the bindi worn by hindus)...i guess we'll take them off before our mall trip today.

but i had the chance to french braid amelia's hair again today. she looks so damn cute, i have to admit.

so we made it to the mall.

adeline always shocks me with how extroverted she is...she started up a game of tag with two other kids her age & ran around the playground. amelia, as usual, hung back a bit--observing. then she picked the spot that most intrigued her:close to a group of mom's with their 6-9 month old babies. she sat about 2 feet away, laying on her belly, propping her head up with her hands. just watching, quietly. just as she was ready to play adeline screeched to me: I HAVE TO PEE *NOW*. off we hustled to the bathroom, both girls crying. *golden moment*
