first, please take a minute to go here & read about our friend's (they were our next door neighbors in boise but then were traveling the u.s. in their rv helping others wherever, whenever needed. now they have settled in texas for a bit while their baby has this surgery & maybe more)...their 8 1/2 month old baby is having surgery on her skull tomorrow. not brain surgery, but it's in that area. (please, read what she has to say about it, i am totally not explaining it well here). being a person who had a skull surgery, i kinda know what she's up against in the next few months. being a parent--i can NOT imagine what they are going through. it brings tears to my eyes, makes my heart rate go way up just thinking of putting myself in their shoes. please pray.

over the past week, there were FOUR days in a row of waking up with a migraine. one that feels like my muscles are being pulled off my body by some psycho & my head feeling like it will implode, from left to right w/ shooting pain. for awhile i'd only been having these migraines once or twice a month (that was after the initial daily times 3 i had before i started to take my slew of medications/vitamins/supplements). then it was a few time a week. now it's been days in a row--thankfully in the morning when i can lay in bed & not feel too guilty until my meds kick in. but it sucks. it hurts. i'm tired of feeling this way, of waking up to a kid who wants to snuggle in the morning & not being able to to do that, not being able to play tag (yes, in the morning).

a new friend brought over some essential or something oils yesterday. i'm going to give it a shot. so i look like crap *but* smell like a spa! there are perks, i guess. check it out. this woman who i had just met (she prayed for me at church... i was a crying mess & she was so kind. then in the playground she was like 'hey, i want to give you some oils that may help your pain'...i had no clue they were this expensive! but she gave me quite a bit.). so i'm trying them for as long as they last. maybe i'll buy more, if they work. but they smell SO GOOD!
but yea, grumble grumble. moan moan.

this morning adeline found out she does not have school tomorrow. at first, she was totally bummed b/c this gal *loves* school. but then wes told her it was VOTING DAY! & she has no clue what that means...all she's thinking is that it's some sort of holiday. which i guess it is, b/c she has the day off of school for that purpose.
so then she says: this is my first voting day. i've never been to vote!
& then i told her the story of how she was in the bjorn carrier & went into the voting booth with me...at just 6 weeks old. i remember it well b/c my back hurt like hell afterward b/c i walked there from our house (in boise...we lived just a wee bit away from the school where our voting station was) & then i had to wait HOURS to vote. somehow adeline slept through it all. i remember being frantic knowing if she woke up she would want to breastfeed & that would've been my first public breastfeeding...anyway, i didn't tell her all about that. i just told her that she has gone with me to vote before & hopefully tomorrow i can get everyone out the door around 8 & drive to the voting place, vote quickly & then be back home before the nannied baby boy gets here. hhmmm...
