...here's something to add. the family who lived next door to us in
boise, chad
& amy houck (this blog post of theirs explains what's going
on--although apparently she's had a seizure or two since this post),
have a wee one who needs prayer. she is five months old & has
been diagnosed with
craniosynostosis. her name is bethany & she is just such a wee one to be going through all of this. so check out this picture:
Moved to neurology floor. It's 6am. MRI and EEG scheduled for... on Twitpic i mean, they have beautiful kids, right? they do have two older children who are just the most amazing kids you'll ever meet (i believe around ages 5 & 6??). & this picture just struck me as what it is: a beautiful picture of a baby who needs prayer, healing; of a family who needs to feel & see the presence of god like a cloud going before them.
so please be thinking of & praying for this family, asking god to direct the doctors, to give the family peace, & above all to ease any of bethany's discomfort or pain with procedures, surgeries, & recovery.
this family is so amazing. god has been continually using them as they drive across the country the past year or more giving-giving-giving to others, helping others, building & remodeling houses for those in need. they were here for about a week a few months after my surgery...just to help out in any way they could. (they now live in their r.v. & run a non profit called 'share5', driving to where they are needed. i think the link i gave about is to their website).
since i've heard about this a few days ago it has made me slog through a bit more of 'why does this shit happen to people who serve you, god?' so i just need to stop that & accept that this is happening & god is holding bethany, caring for her.
