no clue what takes up my time

i have no clue when i used to find time to blog more often. i have things to say about being a stay at home mom & one of them is how the day just is sucked up in kid-land. sort of like going to the grocery store ensures one entire hour of my life will be taken from me, lost forever (i abhor grocery shopping). before i know it i should have started dinner an hour before & we need to get addy's home work out... the day just zips by: suddenly, addy's at school in the morning, then time to play solo with amelia (or shower!), then time to pick adeline up from school, then it's lunch, then amelia's nap, then solo time with adeline, then my rest time after i take my afternoon pills (which finds me on my back with a heating pad), etc etc etc. i'm not sure if i should take this as a sign that i'm feeling better & am doing more throughout the day (like cleaning or doing more active play with the girls or taking time to take a shower & do my hair). or maybe it means i'm feeling even more tired. who knows. i should know but my brain has been sucked dry today. so this is what you get on a monday evening with me, sucked dry brain activity.

but i have been attempting a change in my outlook recently, forcing myself to get out of the house or even to play with the girls more--even with a migraine or muscle & skeletal pain--b/c i have no clue how long these migraines (or the body/muscle/skeletal aches) are going to stick around. so i'm trying to find ways to live with it until things progress. it's one thing to know when things will stop & another to think that i could be living like this the rest of my life. if that's the case, i need to find a way to cope & continue living a normal & as active as can be life. i am not a natural optimist so this has been difficult to accept some level of pain or whatever. is there some sort of course on how to live with chronic pain or migraines? *smile* i'd go back to college for that & that only!

as for the girls & wes & griswold...well, life is ongoing & a blast now that ice cream has made it's way into a near-daily event. i mean, this weather is perfecto! tulips are blooming, trees are blooming, our hyacinths smell fantastic, adeline is learning how to play hop-scotch & amelia is learning how fast she can run while pushing a kid-cart-thing.this spring we all just seem to be taking a deep breath & relaxing outside. if the kids want to walk to a park, a-okay. if they want to play in the backyard, a-okay. if adelne wants to run through wet concrete--so not okay!

here's our easter in picture form. i am just too tired to spell it out *sigh* but we had my family over for a dinner & outdoor egg-scavenger hunt fun. having 4 girls 3 years & under at our place isn't so bad when the outdoors are involved.

first, some self-explanatory pics

amelia being so dis-interested in the egg hunt. you know, so what there's an egg with candy in it right in front of me? so freakin' what.

all the girls, egg hunting

must work for the egg

basket scavenger hunt bunny ears...classic

adeline running during the basket scavenger hunt

my grandma showed up with my uncle, aunt, & cousins--a good surprise!

amelia grabbed this opportunity & decided to be very cute & funny for everyone. she tried to blow bubbles & failed. great entertainment, however.

my brother, sister, grandma & i. & no, we can not all look at the same camera at once. meh, what's the big deal?

*smile* trying to get all 4 girls to sit with their great-grandma for 3 seconds.
picture fail!

  1. Your girls always look so vibrant and happy and just bursting with life. I'm sorry you're still dealing with aches and pains, but you're obviously a fantastic momma.

  2. After spending several Thursdays there, I have a pretty good idea what takes up your time -- if two of us there have difficulty accomplishing much, I think it is safe to say, you are busy.....

  3. Love the Easter dresses, it's always great fun to see them dressed up, running barefoot on a fierce egg hunt.
